About · Brooklyn, New York
We build it,
then we install it
Mega Chutes is a chute and compactor fabricator working out of Brooklyn. We make the steel ourselves and we put it in ourselves, which means the people who measured your shaft are the people standing in it when the doors get hung.
That's the whole argument: one trade for the scope. Nobody points at a drawing and nobody points at an installer. When something doesn't line up, it gets fixed by the shop that made it.

How the work is controlled
Chute work goes wrong at the handover between drawing, shop, and site. We keep all three on our side of the table.
01
Measured on site
The building gets looked at before metal gets cut. Shaft, landings, and the low point, with the person who's going to install it doing the looking.
02
Built in the shop
Sections are formed and assembled where we control the tolerances, so what arrives on site is the thing that was measured for.
03
Installed on a date
Our crew, our truck, a scheduled install. The stack goes in, the landings line up, and the room is left usable.

Talk to the people who'll build it.
Call the shop or send the drawings — either way you'll be talking to the crew that does the work.
